Engagement Photo Session - Nick & Gabriele

If you are a parent, then you know that photos of your children hold a special place in your heart. Nick is my son, and later this month he will be marrying Gabriele, who we have come to love equally well. Many times I’m asked if I will be taking the photos of the wedding. I always answer - “No, because I want to enjoy the day as a parent, not as a photographer”.

Nick proposed to Gabriele at “The Old Church” in Portland so we started their photo session there and did some more around the Portland / Vancouver area. You can see a photo session we did for them last year here, before they were engaged.

Patrick and Janene - Movin' Out

These are photos from an open house party we did for our good friends Patrick and Janene who will soon be moving to Washington DC. Their Airstream trailer is one of their favorite possessions, and as a photographer I was immediately drawn to it. I love retro stuff. For me, it conjured up their travels and moving away, so it seemed appropriate to take some photos by it. Janene later told me that some of the images looked like an album cover and that they were country rock stars….Cool.
