Engagement Session at Hug Point

Bruce and Annie wanted their engagement photos taken at Hug Point State Park on the Oregon Coast. Although I had been there before I had never photographed there. It has to be one of the most beautiful areas that I have ever photographed at.

We planned the time and date weeks in advance so as to be there for low tide. When we left Vancouver it was warm and not a cloud in the sky. As we neared the coast the wind came up, the temperature dropped and the clouds rolled in threatening rain. By the time we met Bruce and Annie at the beach the wind had died down but the threat of rain had increased. We worked quickly and captured a good variety of images for them in a short amount of time before the rain moved in. In the end they were very happy with what we came away with, and so was I.

Bruce and Annie are fun, easy going couple and were very open to our ideas and suggestions. They were an absolute pleasure to work with and I’m very much looking forward to their wedding day.
